I've always been creative, but after "retiring" from my job as a landscape architect to be a stay-at-home mama, I found my creative outlet through sewing. Instead of using the traditional patterns I saw my mom sew with, I taught myself through online tutorials and much trial and error. Some things worked; some didn't. But I was always learning.

I take pride in creating handmade accessories using only the best materials, and one of my go-to sources
for fabric is Rifle Paper Co. Their bold, colorful, and eclectic designs make my accessories stand out from the rest.

MEET AMBER
During Covid, I found my escape with my sewing machine set up in the garage of our small townhome. I discovered the joy of "therapetic sewing" and made over 1,000 masks to donate.
In 2021, I rediscovered craft fairs and decided to take a leap. Hill Haven Handmade was born. I didn't realize quite what challenges lay before me, but with the support of my wonderful husband and family I am growing along with the business! I love getting to sew everyday. It fills my cup to see my customers fall in love with my products. And I even enjoy learning all the unexpected things I didn't realize I would have to learn (like how to use Instagram and how to make a website!).
